Ashton Woods' Capri Model at Naples Reserve Offers Beach House Ambiance

February 10, 2015

Naples – Ashton Woods’ 2,294 square feet Capri model residence under construction in Naples Reserve’s Egret Landing neighborhood offers an interior design inspired by the look of a beach house in the South of Italy.  Ashton Woods’ Design Director Valerio Muraro has utilized a palette of white, grey, and dark grey tones to contrast the dark wood flooring found throughout the home.  The Capri’s floor plan includes a great room, three bedrooms, a study, three-and-a-half baths, and an outdoor living area with a summer kitchen and a pool with a sun shelf.  The great room includes a fireplace and three sets of double doors opening to an outdoor living area and pool.  A spacious island kitchen is ideally suited to entertaining.

The Capri is one of four furnished model residences Ashton Woods is building at Naples Reserve, a 688-acre gated, master planned community being developed by iStar Residential midway between Naples and Marco Island along the U.S. 41 Tamiami Trail/Collier Boulevard 951 corridor.  Upon completion, Naples Reserve will include approximately 1,154 lakefront residences in eleven neighborhoods.  iStar has selected Ashton Woods to begin the community along with a select group of semi-custom builders from the Naples area.  Naples Reserve will feature a refreshing assortment of one and two-story Southern Coastal architectural designs that will reflect the community’s relaxed ambiance and waterfront setting.

Aston Woods is one of the nation’s largest private home building companies.  Recognized as the Most-Trusted Builder in America by the Life story Research 2013 and 2014 Most Trusted Builder in America StudiesSM, Ashton Woods’ collaborative approach is a key driver of its best-in-class customer satisfaction scores, with 95 percent of home buyers likely to recommend the company to friends and family.

Ashton Woods is building in Naples Reserve’s Mallard Point, Egret Landing, Savannah Lakes, and Sparrow Cay neighborhoods.  The Ashton Woods residences are set against Naples Reserve’s captivating natural setting.  Forty-percent of the Naples Reserve site is devoted to twenty-two interconnected manmade lakes, the largest being 54-acres.  Every residence in each of the four Ashton Woods neighborhoods will have a lake or preserve exposure.  There will be no back-to-back home sites.

The one and two-story Southern Coastal residences being built by Ashton Woods showcase elevations with Key West, Charleston, and Nantucket inspired features.  Ashton Woods is poised to introduce 17 floor plans at Naples Reserve with multiple product types priced from the mid-$300’s to the low $600’s ranging from approximately 1,671 to 3,516 square feet under air.  The 2,006 to over 2,425 square feet residences in the Egret Landing neighborhood will be built on fifty-three-foot home sites.

As with all his models, Muraro scoured antique markets in Europe for unique and aged elements to add character and personality to each of Ashton Woods’ Naples Reserve model residences.  The Capri is modern and elegant, but with a rich patina of authenticity that gives the home the true flavor of a beach house in the south of Italy.

The heart of the Capri, the kitchen, features a beautiful counter height island with the visual appearance of a smooth, cool block of marble.  In fact the material is a porcelain tile with the look of Carrera marble which Muraro has used not only to encase the island, but also on the perimeter backsplash, the perimeter counters, and to frame the stunning fireplace in the adjacent great room.  These expanses of bright white material contrast beautifully with the dark wood flooring.  Muraro has emphasized this contrast by adding a high counter top, in a dark smoked oak, to the white of the island.  The kitchen cabinetry incorporates two different color tones, materials, and textures.  One section showcases paneled doors in a dark gray oak veneer, while another displays cabinets in a sleek light gray finish – a new style from Italy that is very smooth to the touch.

In the Capri’s dining area, Muraro has continued his color palette of grays with a table that accommodates a bench and five chairs. The bench is upholstered in a lush light gray velvet while the chairs are finished in an elegant gray linen.

The spacious great room flows smoothly from the kitchen and includes the welcoming comfort of a fireplace with an elegant seating group gathered around.  Three sets of French doors open the great room to the rear lanai and outdoor living area.  Here, a combination of a sparkling pool with sundeck together with an outdoor kitchen, dining area, and lounging area provide the perfect place for friends and family to relax and enjoy the balmy Florida climate.

A private vestibule leads into the master bedroom at the rear of the home.  Dark wood flooring contrasts beautifully with the gray wall tones.  The elegant bed features sumptuous linens in shades of blue, gray and white for a cool, serene atmosphere.  Distinctive pendant lighting is suspended over each of the night stands.

The master bathroom once more showcases a sharp contrast between the luxurious white marble tiling and the natural dark wood texture of the vanity cabinetry.
