Over the last few years, geometric accents seemed to have popped up everywhere you look. From fashion to home décor, there was no avoiding these fun, vivacious patterns. I even had geometric rugs, pillows, and accents in my own home to provide unexpected pops of color throughout. However, this year geometric design is taking on a whole new level, emerging from subtle accents to full blown statements. Now, no surface is off limits!

Geometric patterns can pack a large punch in a little space, or give a larger room a unique focal point with the use of interesting shapes and colors. Going beyond the kitchen and bathrooms, geometric tiles can provide classy and understated fashion to any room. You can keep it more sophisticated by using a monochromatic color scheme, or be bold and daring with high contrast and bright hues.

This year I have seen the new geometric designs used for tile floors, kitchen backsplashes, full wall tile (the 3-D wall tile is stunning), wallpaper (the ceilings are an especially fun twist), art, lighting, and of course updated décor designs.
