Recently I learned an inside secret: Teal is one of Ashton Woods’ favorite pops of color! Knowing this, I dove into a Pinterest frenzy to see how teal inspires me and learned that this color is quite the character. It’s a fantastic combination of both bold drama, and light whimsy!

The bold and dramatic is seen flawlessly in the Naples Reserve, Minorca model. The teal velvet sofa invites me to dive into the deep Mediterranean and its surroundings or a good Netflix drama. It bursts with strong yet delicate elegance. You can explore more details of this model here.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! The drama can spill into so many aspects of design. Look at these velvet pumps with acrylic jeweled heels (amazing!), the velvety teal wall accenting a bold copper tub, the playful velvet tie for the fashionable man, and West Elm’s new velvet bedding—talk about depth, texture and a touch of color-blocking drama!

Source: West ElmThe light and whimsical can be seen perfectly in our bright and playful Hamptons Avenue, Riverside model. Looking at pictures of this home takes me back to memories of summer days canoeing down the Weeki Wachee River in Florida— it’s so fun how design can transport you to a place and time. There’s something nostalgic here with the nautical pendants, and Verner Panton S chairs accenting the head of the dining table. A timeless throwback!
