DeLand is located in the popular Volusia County with easy access to both downtown Orlando and Daytona Beach. It’s also home to Florida’s oldest private college, Stetson University, as well as the Museum of Art – Deland and the Deland Municipal Airport. In addition to being called the “skydiving capital of the world", the city is also known for the Deland Fall Festival of the Arts, which has been hosted there since 1992 and draws more than 50,000 in attendance each year. Just minutes away you’ll find DeLeon Springs, a 650-acre state park. Blue Springs is another 2600-acre state park nearby, featuring the largest spring on the St. John’s River and a designated manatee refuge. Both of these parks offer natural springs, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing hiking, wildlife watching, volleyball, playgrounds and picnic areas.
